SCANDAL: PRESIDENCY BUYS 60 HOUSES BUILT AS LOW COST HOUSING FOR THE POOR
Giving with one hand and taking with the other, houses initially
constructed for the poor termed social housing in Cameroon have been
bought by the presidency of the republic. Thus some media comment on the
situation of social housing of Olembe in Yaounde. The Quotidien de
l’Économie (EQA) of 17 June 2016 informs that the Minister of Housing
and Urban Development (MINHDU) was Thursday, June 16, 2016 at the
northern entrance of Yaounde where 120 are already available social
housing.Jean-Claude Mbwentchou handed symbolically housing 60 to the first
purchaser. It is the Presidency of the Republic. Such houses will be
occupied by personnel of the Presidential Security Division (PSD). “Of
the 160 housing Olembe of the first phase, the Presidency of the
Republic has acquired 60. I mean acquired. For a staggering amount
of 1,248,000,185 FCFA. And has therefore decided to allocate these 60
