Eddy Bee is onto another tune!! Camer’s smoothest afro-pop artiste is about to  release another song titled ‘I do.’ This one is for the lovers only! He is giving  us an avant-gout of the video by releasing a mouth-dripping teaser! From the  teaser we can already tell that the video is going to have an old-school theme.  Hmmm… Something we haven’t really seen before in the history of kamer urban  music videos. Your favourite chat app is now officially the property of Facebook,  which completed its aquisition today.Facebook announced in February that  it would be snapping up WhatsApp for a cool $19 billion, and today it officially  closed the deal with the SEC, just hours after it was given the go-ahead by the European Commission.That sum has been pushed up to $21.8 billion, but as Recode  points out, that's due to Facebook's stock rising over the last few months. An Italian bank, Intesa Sanpaolo is putting at the disposal of the government  of Cameroon the sum of 139 billion FRS as loan for the construction  of an ultra-modern sports complex of international standard at Olembe,  outskirts of Yaoundé. The contract was signed Tuesday, August  16. Representing the Italian side was the Chargés d’Affairs at the Italian   Embassy in Yaoundé, and the Minister of Economic Planning and  Regional Development, Louis Paul Motaze signed on behalf of Cameroon.  During the signing ceremony, Motaze thanked the Italian government and bank for coming to the aid of Cameroon at this crucial moment when it is preparing to host some major sporting events. The Minister showered praises on the Italian firm, Group Piccini that has won the contract for accepting to even start the  preliminary part of the construction works before the loan  contract is signed. To Motaze, it is a sign of confidence on Cameroon.                                Construction

                             A drive from Tombel to Kumba should not take                 more than 40minutes on a graded earth road. But now a days, it takes  close to three hours.The suicidal nature of the road linking Tombel  and Kumba, the biggest commercial city in the Southwest, has  forced transporters to leave Tombel,  take a backward ride to Francophone territory of the Littoral Region, before getting back into the Southwest – passing through Bikoko,  Tiko, Mutengene, Buea, Muea, Ekona, Muyuka etc., before reaching                                                     Kumba – a city only 35 kilometers from them.

Last Friday when the students, about 150 of them showed up to receive promised pay, they were told to register on the electoral list  first before they could be paid.It was a carefully planned act with authorities of ELECAM Meme, already having their tables set up, waiting for the students. When the students presentedthemselves, to their greatest surprise, those 20 and above were asked to either inscribe their names on ELECAM’s list or forfeit what was due them even though  this was not the condition of the contract. After much agitation the students succumbed to the pressure from the Kumba  authorities and hurriedly line up for the exercise. Once registered, each student received the sum of 50,000 FRS fromhe Kumba City Council.

Going by United Nations AIDS, UNAIDS, statistics, HIV prevalence rate in West and Central Africa is 2.3 per cent. In Cameroon, the rate is 4.3 per cent, while Douala has an elevated  prevalence rate of 4.6 per cent. Of the 600,000 HIV-positive people in Cameroon,  Douala accounts for 68,000, making the city the highest in the country with infected people. The shocking statistics were disclosed by the UNAIDS Country Director, Dr Claire Mulanga Tshidibi, during the first ordinary session of the Douala City Council on April 1, 2016. She travelled to Douala to sign an agreement  with all six Mayors in Wouri Division and the Government Delegate to the Douala City Council.   Band de Roga is a Cameroonian, born in Kumba but now based in Germany. Band de Roga showed interest in music from a very early age. He got encouragement from his friends to pursue a career in music, which he did, as he professionally kicked of his music career this year, after completing his tertiary education in Germany.
